The scaly creatures represent good luck, power, and wealth. They are often shown among clouds chasing a fiery pearl, which represents enlightenment. This issue from the Perth Mint honors that tradition. The coin was struck from 1 oz of. 9999 fine gold and bears a “P” mint mark on the reverse. It is part of a mintage of just 5,000 pieces. Exquisite Double Dragon Design. The coin’s obverse bears a right-side portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. Designed by Jody Clark, the image shows the monarch down to her shoulders. She wears earrings, a necklace, and the crown that she traditionally wears to Britain’s State Opening of Parliament, her Royal Diamond Diadem. Her effigy is encircled by a rim frame on which there are several inscriptions. “ELIZABETH II” and “AUSTRALIA” are on the top half, while “1 OZ 9999 AU, ” “2020, ” and “100 DOLLARS” are on the bottom half.
