This coin, minted by the U. Mint, contains 1 oz of 99.999% gold and is certified by NGC with certification number 4921004-015. It is a valuable addition to any coin collection, especially for those interested in high relief and very rare and unique US gold coins. This special issue was struck in West Point and designated as Business Strike (MS). It was created to demonstrate how modern minting technology could achieve the High Relief details originally intends by Augustus St Gaudens but not fully realized in 1997 due to technological limitations at the time.
