The new designs (Type 2 Reverse) will begin appearing on these coins in midyear 2021. This listing is for the Type 2 which features an updated obverse and new reverse design. These buyers obtain the uncirculated bullion coins from the Mint based on the current spot price of the metal plus a small premium. American Eagle Gold Bullion Coins are made in four denominations that contain one ounce, half-ounce, quarter-ounce and tenth-ounce of gold. Coin Design Obverse: A refreshed version of Augustus Saint-Gaudens’ full-length figure of Liberty with flowing hair, holding a torch in her right hand and an olive branch in her left. Reverse: The design depicts a portrait of an eagle. Inscriptions include UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, IN GOD WE TRUST, 25 DOLLARS and 1/2 OZ.
