The’W’ mint mark indicates that the coin was struck at the West Point Mint. The obverse of the coin features a baseball glove, while the reverse depicts a baseball. These coins were highly popular upon release, owing to their unique design and appeal to both coin collectors and baseball enthusiasts. Coins graded as MS70 by NGC (Numismatic Guaranty Corporation) are considered to be in perfect condition, with no post-production imperfections visible at 5x magnification. The’Early Releases’ designation indicates that the coin was submitted for grading within a specific timeframe after its initial release, adding to its collectibility. Given its condition and the popularity of the series, this coin is a valuable addition to any collection.
